New Beauty Bonanza

With my terrible addiction to Space NK, I often pop in for a browse which results in another product binge. Thank heavens for loyalty points that's all I can say! This particular episode resulted in this collection of beauty goodies:

LAURA MERCIER - Foundation Radiance Primer - Bronze

As someone who has struggled with late on-set acne I had been unable to use anything except thick, full coverage foundations until I finally gave in and went on a course of Roaccutaine which was a revelation to my appearance and eliminated the cystic acne I had endured for many years. This allowed me to try this new foundation primer which adds a touch of golden warmth to the skin. Claiming to be 'hydrating' this water-based preparation creates a great canvas for summer makeup. Enriched with vitamins A, B, E and Jojoba oil this bronze primer gives an illuminating effect, which is very soft providing a light base for your foundation, although I have used it with just a touch of bended concealer I have worn it alone which is a first for me!

NARSisist - Cheek Kit

Nars are well known for their high-octane vivid colours and unusual and playful textures. This new cool cheek kit really captures this spring's colour trends. It includes three colours a peach, a pink and a soft brown for shading, that are soft and slightly shimmered, the hues that all beauty bloggers are coveting this season. A must-have for my makeup bag, its also thin enough to fit in a clutch for the evening.  I use it constantly as it's an eye and blush set all-in-one! Anything for an easy life...!

NARS - Matte lipstick in Tashkent

For me personally I found this colour made me look pasty unless I mixed it up with another pinkier colour as I have an olive based complexion.  But never fear, the company always provide an assortment of colours in typical NARS style. I liked the effect of the matte as I am sick and tried of pulling my hair out of my lip gloss in the spring breezes. I found it was also long lasting and not as drying as many other matte based lippies that are around. A good base, but if you prefer a glossier effect, experiment with your glosses on top. This is a great tip if you want to individualise a colour, and people will ask where you got it from! The Lipstick Queen Invisible lip liner I will discuss in another post...stay tuned...
